Can It Up: October

We’re entering our second year of #CanItUp! In some ways, it seems so quick; in others, so very long.

Tomatoes, September’s secret ingredient, proved to be fertile ground. But we’re now entering the more challenging fall and winter months.

What are we preserving with in October?

Let’s Can It Up!

  • To include your photo in the monthly roundup post, email it to me by October 31st. It must be at least 670 pixels wide and oriented horizontally (i.e. landscape).
  • Don’t forget that your preserve must be water-bath canned. Read up on water-bath canning.

October’s selected ingredient is pears! I almost forgot about how much I love pears — they should be your preserve’s shining star.
